Description

This hands-on program gives high school students the opportunity to see math and physics concepts come to life. Using power tools, common measuring tools, and real-world problem solving, students will design, build, and test working trebuchets and generators. The focus is on applied mathematics, engineering thinking, and collaborative design, with an emphasis on precision, safety, and iteration.

Some degree of fluency with high school Algebra and Geometry are assumed in order to glean all of what can be gained from the experience. There may be some flexibility on the mathematical requirements to be part of this program. Please reach out to [email protected] to check your experience before registering.

NOTE: You must register for both part one AND part two
